Ortho Evra birth control patch--Settlements

Johnson and Johnson has paid over $60 million in settlements to women who suffered blood clots, a heart attack or a stroke while using their Ortho Evra birth control patch. Despite these settlements and the potential for these serious injuries, the Ortho Evra patch is still on the market making Johnson and Johnson millions of dollars.

For the past couple of years the FDA has conducted a safety review of the Ortho Evra patch, but has not decided if the patch should be removed from the market. This, despite the fact, that the Ortho Evra patch exposes women to more than 50% more estrogen as compared to the traditional birth control pills.

Recently an NBC News report indicated that NBC News had obtained private internal documents from Johnson and Johnson which suggest that the company knew about an increased risk of death in connection with using the Ortho Evra birth control patch, but put women in danger anyway.

If you or a loved one suffered blood clots, a heart attack or stroke while using an Ortho Evra patch, you should contact an Ortho Evra injury attorney because you may have a significant claim. DePuy hip recall--compensation--Attorney

Recently, DePuy Orthopaedics, a division of Johnson and Johnson, recalled a number of DePuy hip implants following failure of a number of hip replacements. If you have a DePuy artificial hip, you might be entitled to compensation. You should definitely contact your doctor, especially if you have unusual hip pain, or loosening of the hip implant or failure of the hip replacement. You should also contact a bad hip attorney to discuss your legal rights. Solberg, Stewart, Miller and Tjon are investigating DePuy hip failures. Initial consultations are always free at the Solberg law firm. If the law firm takes your DePuy case, you pay nothing in attorney fees or expenses unless and until you make a recovery. You can contact the Solberg law firm in North Dakota or Minnesota by calling 237.3166 or 877.237.3166 (toll free). Also, if you have any questions as to your legal rights in regard to the recalled DePuy hips you can email mmiller@solberglaw.com.

ACCUTANE and Crohn's Disease and Colitis

On Sunday, Sept. 4, there was a very good article in the FARGO FORUM in regard to crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. I encourage anyone with bowel problems to read the article. The FARGO FORUM article discusses bowel diseases and symptoms, causation and treatment. The FARGO FORUM article did not mention that crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis can be caused by ACCUTANE. If you have a bowel disease and were on ACCUTANE, you could have a subtantial claim. So far there have been 7 jury verdicts in favor of people who were on ACCUTANE and subsequently were diagnosed with crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. All verdicts were over $1 MILLION. The most recent verdict was for $25,000,000! TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE, there are STRICT time deadlines for bringing such cases and if you miss a deadline you can never bring your case. If you have crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, immediately call an ACCUTANE LAWYER. At Solberg, Stewart, Miller and Tjon, intial consultations are always free and if we take your case we do so on a contingency fee basis so if there is no recovery, you pay nothing. The Fargo, North Dakota telephone number is 701.237.3166 or toll free--1.877.237.3166.
